1. Rights of Users to Post1.1. Users who have not been banned shall have the right to post to any open thread inany public forum or any limited or private forum to which they have posting access. 1.2. The rights of a user to post shall only be limited by the Forum Rules and by a moderator acting in compliance with the Forum Rules. 1.3. No automatic filtering shall be applied to posts. 2. Limits on Posting2.1. Users shall not post flames, excessive profanities, or anything illegal.2.2. A flame shall be defined as post that contains a malicious ad hominem verbal attack on a user. 2.3. Moderators or administrators may remove a post for objectionable content. Objectionable content shall be defined as what a reasonable member of the House Manticore community would find objectionable. 2.4. Moderators or administrators may remove any post made for non-House Manticore related commercial purposes. 2.5. Moderators or administrators may remove any or all duplicated posts, at their discretion. 2.6. Administrators may limit the length of signatures for the class of users as a whole. 2.7. A user who is banned may not post in any public forum. 3. Penalties3.1. A moderator may administer a strike or a warning for a violation of the Forum Rules.3.2. A warning is merely a verbal censure and has no effect on the rights of a user. 3.3. Any user who accumulates three strikes will be automatically banned. 3.4. A user shall be banned for no more than 1 month for the first ban, no more than 3 months for the second ban, and no more than 1 year for any subsequent bans. 3.5. If a penalty is imposed, a user must receive timely notice of the rule broken and the penalty imposed. 3.6. A user who uses deception to post during his ban using any account shall be banned for one year starting from the time his deception is discovered. 3.7. When a user has served his ban, his strike count shall be changed to zero. 4. Administrators and Moderators4.1. Administrators, moderators and House Manticore Officers are all users and have all the rights as such.4.2. The administrator of the board shall have all the powers of a moderator in addition to his own unique powers. |
