For those of you that don't know, we have our land for camp already reserved for us. The price of not dealing with land grab is that we have to provide/organize people for Troll shifts for 2 days. Itchy has put me in charge of this (since I was the one in communication with Vanisia about the deal). What this means is that I (and House Manticore, thru proxy) am responsible for making sure the troll shifts on Monday and Tuesday are filled. I am asking the members of House first to fill as many spots as people are willing to work before I go to those outside House I trust.
Our shifts start Monday at 12 am (so the midnight between Sunday and Monday) and end at 11:59 pm Tuesday. The shifts are in 4 hour intervals starting at 12. Please look at the schedules posted on the
Dagorhir boards before signing up for a shift. It will make me a very unhappy camper if I have someone sign up for a slot, then back down the day of because there is a battle scenario bring run that they didn't know about or a class they wanted to take.
I would like to stress that you DO NOT have to sign up for a shift if you don't want to. This is done on a volunteer basis. While it would probably make things easier if most of the slots were filled by us, I do not expect everyone in House to volunteer. I understand that this is your vacation, so I won't be telling anyone they have to work a shift (there are a couple of people, however, that I will tell NOT to work a shift, but that's because they have other crap to worry about).
Things Vanisia and I talked about when we discussed troll:
-She wants 2 people per troll shift.
-At the end of each shift, she needs to come and count the drawer. If someone volunteers to work 2 shifts in a row, then she will only come at the end of that person's 8 hour shift. I will double check, but I think that only applies if someone takes a double shift during the night (so from midnight to 8 am).
Remember that if you take a morning shift, we can run your weapons up to check for you. Something else to keep in mind is that the archery safety class is at 9 am (you know, that mandatory class you have to take if you want to be an archer at Rag). So you will have to take that into consideration when signing up for a shift.
