Where is Autumn Wars? It’s going to be at Forest Glen County Preserve by Westville Illinois.

When is it? September 18-20, 2009. Game starts some time Friday night. Yeah, and you really thought I’d tell ya when? That’s part of the fun!

I was asked “Why are you putting so much into this event?” How often dose an event you started turn old enough to drink! Yeah you heard me this is the 21st Autumn Wars.

This entire event is centered around “the Game”. This being a 14-18 hr ongoing scenario that is completely mission biased. Missions are worth between 5 and 50 points. The Camp with the most points accumulated by the end of the event wins!

Sounds easy right? Now do it with limited lives and limited weapons. You’ll start off the Game with 10 lives and just the equipment you can carry! Keep in mind you can only get tags and therefore use the equipment you can actually fight with WHILE carrying. Did I mention you can loose the use of those weapons as well?

Not only be competing against fighters from other camps but your own limitations as well. I will run you butt ragged and just when you think you can’t go on I’ll push you further. Now I know this sounds like your going to be running more then fighting right?

Wrong! There will be lots of fighting! Oh yeah! You’ll be pitted against not only those other players but I have some nastiest that will be roaming the night. Should you run out of lives and wish to continue in a more devious way not a problem become one of my non-playing characters and I’ll send you back into the grinder.

I have poured 24 years experience of running & helping to run events into this one mega event! My objective is to show everyone Dagorhir is not dead in Middle~Earth! On the contrary we are very much alive and still have much to offer for the future. This event will put a whole new dimension into group and single combat tactics. It’s ok to rely on your team mates. Because, you won’t be able to win this thing with out them!

At Autumn Wars 09 the Tavern will be the hub of life in Outer Podunk. You know those ladies gossip runs wild. Some of their information may prove to be useful.

Out side of town is a whole different ball game. Life out there is at your own risk. You never know who, or what, is lurking in the darkness. However, don’t let that night life distract you from the game! Remember it’s about the points.

There will be missions to complete, raids to perform, random treasure to find! Yeah, don’t forget that random treasure. It’s not only in game items that you’ll find. You may just find things for your trip home! There will be gift certificates from places like two brother restaurant just out there for the pickings.

Enough about that. By the end of Autumn Wars 09 the biggest question that will be answered is; who is the baddest team around?

We are 9 days out from the Autumn Wars 09…I am just inquiring as to how many from House Manticore will be attending?
