There is software out there that can 'push' data from this site onto a Facebook page... basically I could create an official House Manticore Facebook page. However, I hesitate to do so, because I am uncertain that it is worth it, other than another venue to promote the group/site.
Thought/Opinions?

Wont do me or Cirion any good. We dont have facebook, we dont want facebook adn we will never have facebook. So yeah, kinda a waste of time there.

As a counterpoint, I use Facebook a lot and would find such a thing pretty cool.

I'd definitely be up for House on Facebook. For one thing, it's pretty common; there's a LOT of Facebook traffic and having an off ramp for us here wouldn't hurt. For another, Facebook is standardized and streamlined; thus the format is familiar and less intimidating than, say, an individual page. A little comfort and familiarity goes along way.

All I ask is that all BBQ information does not get put on there. I am not at all comfortable with facebook since it is easily hacked and I dont want my address or anything of that nature on there.

Just a side note for you Bean Si & Cirion. I know you are not worrying about getting a facebook account... and just because we are now on facebook should not prompt you to get one as essentially all I am doing with that account is 'pushing' information from this site onto the Facebook site. Essentially, I have no wish to produce any content there that is not generated first here.

No worries, I wont get one. I dont like their security setups, so dont worry, you wont be pushing us to get anything. All I ask is that BBQ information and the planning of said events that will actually involve us be done here where I can find it since I dont even visit facebook.

Looks as if we were posting at the same time.
Yes, as far as planning and all that, there will be no change. The only information that I would be posting there is that there is an upcoming BBQ and date, then pointing back again to the website.
